SmartWheel 2.0 September Recap: Setting the New Standards for E-MicroMobility in Canada and USA
Posted by RK on 30th Sep 2026
Every industry has a moment that separates the companies that talk about doing better from the ones that follow through. For e-micromobility businesses serving Canada and the USA, this year has brought significant challenges. Tariffs have reshaped the cost of doing business. Cross-border supply chains, once reliable, have been strained by delays, shifting timelines and rising uncertainty. At the same time, several provinces in Canada have moved to restrict e-mobility altogether, even as rider demand across the country continues to accelerate. Faced with that pressure, many companies chose to retreat — to scale back, go quiet and wait for conditions to improve.
We chose a different path. We chose to lead, because challenging times demand more from a business: more transparency, more accountability and a far greater understanding of what customers actually need.
On September 1, we introduced SmartWheel 2.0 — not as a response to pressure, but as a decision about who we intend to be because of it. Today, we wanted to share the progress to date and how it’s already shaping a better experience for Smartwheel customers.

1. Support That Follows Through
We have learned that customer's experience with SmartWheel truly continues after checkout.
Our customer support team is active, with dedicated channels for customer requests to help direct enquiries to the appropriate team. We are strengthening how those requests are organised and followed through, with clearer communication and more consistent responses as our priorities.

2. Clearer ETA Messsages
You deserve to understand what happens after you order.
Smartwheel 2.0 means no vague promises, no guesswork. Our updated ETA messages now show where your stock sits, when incoming inventory is expected and the delivery timeframe you can plan around — before you commit to an order. Stock can shift across the industry due to uncertain economics at the moment and when it does, we’ll tell you early. Trust isn't a feature. It's the foundation at Smartwheel.

3. Better Product Information.
Specs that help you decide.
Choosing an EUC, e-scooter, or e-bike is a serious investment and our riders deserve the depth of information to make that decision with confidence. That's why we have expanded and clarified the details on every product page — suspension, brakes, battery, charge time and more, so riders can compare options side by side, match a ride to their needs and confirm it fits their application.

4. A New Look With a Clear Purpose.
Less searching. Easier understanding.
Our refreshed modern product pages bring key information including the videos into a cleaner, more structured layout. Product details and buying information are easier to scan, helping you compare your options and understand what to expect. Every design decision has a practical purpose: making your experience simpler, clearer and more useful.
More improvements are underway — Stay Tuned for our October update.
